Cheer up windows users

Great news, safari 3 is out for mac and windows users, I consider Safari as the second best browser supporting web standards after FireFox.

Other good news is that Leopard which is the all new mac OS will be there by October with great new features like new improved Finder, Spaces & Time Machine which could be a life saver in case of losing files etc..

Apple NavigationOther news is that apple changed it's site main layout specifically the navigation I see it alot better now the new navigation is alot more usable, it looks like it's done using CSS & JavaScript which makes it highly accessible. I only wish they could make a liquid layout I have to stretch my browser all the screen width to get rid of the horizontal scroll.

Enjoy

The all new intel iBook: MacBook

I knew it from the beginning that Steve won't disappoint us with his Intel move decision he already proved that in the last Macworld, but here is another hit that's really impressive, 5 times faster than the fastest iBook ever in an affordable price just $1099 that's incredible.

This new baby comes with a bunch of new features and technologies that I still don't believe it how all this technology in this small compact elegant case at that price. Comes with 1.83GHz & 2GHz Intel Core Duo, 2MB Cache, default 512MB memory up to 2GB, Built in iSight and a new high resolution displays up to 1280 x 800 resolution in a glossy 13.3" wide screen, there are some complains about this glossy option I didn't try it myself to judge it.

MacBook closed lid screen shot

It comes in white and black, actually I'm not very keen about the black I think the white is way better, any way maybe they give it a color to give it a feel of a pro machine the black machine is the 3rd option which has the most powerful specs.

Any way for me I'm still happy with my PowerBook G4 1.33GHz which is left out in the dust now but it's still enough to me.

What are you waiting for go check it out or meet the whole family.

iWeb generated code is crap

Well as I expected the code generated from iWeb is really crap, I searched a lot for any examples of iWeb generated pages but I failed, but now the first pages are showing up, and I'm sorry to say that they're crap, check the source code of those examples or disable there CSS and see how they look, Todd Dominey has describe it as not that good & BusinessLogs describe it as awful.

I'm sorry Apple I always trust you and adore your products but this app was a disappointment to me. I can't imagine how a company like Apple in 2006 still use those old school ways, I hope they fix this mistake in new releases but for now I don't advice any one to start a blog with iWeb, just go with Blogger it's way better and it's easy too.

Macworld surprises

I knew Steve wouldn't do that intel move to macs unless it really worth it, and today the big surprise, new iMac twice as fast with 1.83GHz & 2GHz Intel Core Duo processor and one more thing guess what the new long awaited MacBook Pro 4x faster 1.67GHz & 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo instead of the PowerBook.

Today also iWork '06 and iLife '06 announced with a new cool iWeb app that makes blogging even easier but requires .mac membership, I wonder if iWeb generates standards compliant HTML and CSS or not.

I'm surprised they didn't come up with something for the 12" and 17" sizes and I hope they didn't drop them especially the 12" I wouldn't trade my 12" with any of those, for now the old PowerPC PowerBooks are still in the store.

I didn't watch the keynote as it's not available yet, I tracked the keynote news through Spymac but I will watch the keynote the moment it become available.

Dial-up starting to disappear

Apple new iMac is released today the main 2 new features are Front Row that doesn't impress me much and the built in iSight that I think is a cool feature.

That is off topic ok what I want to say is have you noticed that this new iMac doesn't have a built in modem, Apple has created a USB modem for 49$ instead, I see this is the beginning of the end for dial-up, more manufacturers will start dropping the Dial-up support from there products in the near future.

Ofcourse that is not the end of it, dial-up will remain supported for a while but for a company like Apple to drop its support, it's a serious sign of how small the percentage of users who still use Dial-up connections.

Mighty Mouse

Apple introduces the new mighty mouse with a lot of great new features.

Unfortunately it's not a bluetooth mouse but maybe Apple has a good reason for that, a mouse with all that features will have a very short battery life.

Any way I don't ever use a mouse as I'm used to trackpads.

See it in action
