What if you could take all your (X)HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, Flash, Flex to the desktop, we used to use those technologies on a browser but what's Adobe is offering now is a new cross-platform runtime environment called Apollo that lets building and deploying RIA available to the desktop.

Firebug
Firebug an add-on to FireFox is a perfect tool for web developers/designers it shows any browsed page HTML, CSS, DOM etc... and you can modify and see the results instantly, deactivate or modify the CSS code and see instantly what will the page looks like.
Any way you got to try it if you are using FireFox if you are not you have to, if you insists you may use Firebug Lite.

Rails day '06
A competition between Ruby on Rails developers for the best Ruby application built in 24 hours from 12:00am Eastern Daylight Time on June 17th and 11:59pm EDT on June 17th including all digital mock-ups, identity design, XHTML, CSS, Flash, Javascript, etc.
